Hijacked

Hello folks.  My name is Julie and I'll be taking over this here blog today.  My pet Rachel is too busy sticking her nose in all of my little pups Easter baskets stealing their candy to pay attention to her blog.  Normally I focus on taking care of Levi's needs but lately the big puppy of the family has needed my attention as well.

At then end of the day I just collapse on my rug from having to keep an eye on those two.  I don't know which is the harder pup to keep track of!

I'm not complaining mind you.  I love my pups it's just I"m not getting any younger as my grey whiskers can prove.  Speaking of grey whiskers, I started to go grey early!  Have you ever heard of such a thing!  But when one considers all that I have in my dog dish to deal with every day....... I suppose it is inevitable.

Well, this is short but I don't have time with all of the extra tasks I am having to see to since pup Rachel keeps dropping them left and right like a dozen tennis balls and I'm expected to just run after and chase them all!  Not that I'm complaining.  I'm too loyal for that.

P.S.  Anyone know where I can get my hair done around here?  Just another task my pet Rachel has neglected to do for awhile..........

  1. Lucy, you are such a good dog! And you look lovely. Just because the big pup can't embrace her gray hairs doesn't mean that you can't. It is a sign of all you have lived through and survived...be proud of those gray whiskers!
Be brave and keep up the good work...you are loved beyond measure!

  4. Darling Julie - they aren't hairs - on you, they're feathers. If your pup, Rachel, had feathers, she might feel differently about the color. And I know what you mean about those balls - I was a mother, and I found myself chasing every dang ball that anybody ever dropped. You are the sweetest girl ever, and next time I come by, I'm gonna kiss you on the nose.

  5. Wow Rachel you have been going thru a tough time. I have finally been allowed to view your blog so I have gone back and read all the missed posts. My friend here has Ross River Virus which seems similar to your WNV and it is the pits. Sorry to here that it had you in its grips again.
I loved the gumball present for Levi, the look on his face was priceless :-) Your visit with your friend looks like it was just the thing, isn't it funny how two people can just connect sometimes! I think your sister should have a baby girl too...those booties are the cutest things! I took our dogs out for a bike ride this afternoon and noticed that Miss Petal has a lot of grey suddenly coming thru on her muzzle, time goes so fast and she is so bouncy I keep thinking she is a young dog but she must be almost 8 now. Lucky you get to pilfer thur 7 easter baskets, I only get two :-) Hope you had a lovely Easter and BTW those flowers are gorgeous and you deserve them. xx
