I have a new puppy. I'm spoiling her rotten. It is ridiculous. Crow!
I have a friend. Her name is Natalie. She has a dog. She takes her dog everywhere with her in her car and lets her dog sleep with her! Are you kidding me? A dog in your bed? Okay, a dog in Levi's bed, yeah. That's where Zoe is going to end up but my bed???? And bring the dog with every time I get in the car? Not just when Levi gets in the car?
I have a new puppy. Her name is Zoe. I take her with me every time I go in the car. I took a nap today and brought her with me to sleep in bed with me. My bed. I'm spoiling her rotten. It is ridiculous. Crow!
The SM's mom has a puppy. Her puppy has a toy box full of toys. Spoiled rotten. Ridiculous!
Zoe has a toy box. I kinda sorta filled it with toys........ spoiled rotten. Ridiculous!
CROW!
LOL! I knew you were going to comment along those lines!!!! :D I deserve it.
ReplyDeleteShe really has been. I was worried because I miss Julie still so much. She's been a nice band-aid. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, dear. A dog in your bed? We bought a bigger bed to have room for the dog(s) and it is only mattress on the floor now because our dog isn't supposed to be jumping off of the bed! And, of course you can't leave her home, she might need to potty!
ReplyDeleteWhoever said, "It's a dog's life," like it was a bad thing....didn't know our dogs! :-) Yay Zoe!
And BBQ that crow - it will taste better with BBQ!
I can hardly climb into our bed that stands at my belly button so there is no way Zoe can climb in without help which means I can't even blame her!
DeleteOY! Bed on the floor. You're such a good momma for your puppies.
I'm laughing at your BBQ comment. Glazed in chocolate? ;)
My mom said humble pie goes well with crow. :D
DeleteI am pretty sure humble pie is chocolate with that soft white icing and heath bits crumbled on top....enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI hope Zoe doesn't fall off that tall bed! Hold her tight!
OH! I like your kind of humble pie! I think you are correct. That sounds exactly like humble pie. :)
DeleteWell I'd say it was pretty much inevitable - one look at that sweet puppy face and I'd be doing exactly the same! It's great that Zoe is settling in so well but not surprising seeing as she's found herself the most loving home imaginable - she is one lucky little pup! Sorry I've not been around and have missed out on so much of your news - it was school break here last week and I didn't manage to squeeze in computer time! It's lovely to come and visit again and catch up with all of your news, I love the new header to your blog too - it perfectly illustrates your warm and loving family Rachel x
ReplyDeleteI've missed you! I'm glad you are back. :) I hope your spring break went well. I know it can be a stressful and busy time for you without much rest.
DeleteThank you so much Julie always for your kind, thoughtful, and encouraging comments. I do have pretty good kids and an amazing husband. I appreciate them all putting up with me all of these years. :D
:) I was thinking about Maxx the other day and his velvet ears. I was thinking about him and laughing at the way we are carrying Zoe around and how pretty soon she is going to be a big dog that will think she is still a lap dog if we continue just like Maxx. Maxx is a crack up!! I was thinking (because of all of the chew toys laying around) of Maxx's 'toy' bowling ball. That still is the funniest thing to me!!
ReplyDeleteI've done soooo much eating crow myself. After reading your admission of having to eat crow, the term intrigued me. My dear friend Wikipedia says "The crow is one of the birds listed in Leviticus chapter 11 as being unfit for eating." I think Donna's version of 'humble pie' is much more desirable. Either way, you've made it easier for the rest of us to eat up and then FESS UP.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Rachel!
I agree! Crow is unfit for eating! That is why it is so painful to admit one is eating crow again and again and again!!! At least I'm in good company. Pull up a chair Ginger! We'll eat crow together and wash it down with some humble pie.
DeleteFunny, I've been thinking of that "eating crow" phrase for awhile now, and here you are munching on it yourself. And aren't you lucky to be doing so!
ReplyDeleteYa know! I've never thought of it that way. Being lucky to be eating crow but looking at it from that angle. Yeah! I am lucky! :D
DeleteHave I said ever that I love the new header? It's probably three months old now, and I probably haven't commented in that much time, so no. Probably not. And about dogs in bed: after the mud I've seen on my floors, three seconds after they were sluiced down to clean? NO DOGS NEAR MY BED. I might as well go out and sleep on the ground at the pasture. (Making terrible face.) And I never eat crow. When I throw around my superiority in cases like this, I make DANG sure I'm solid before I do it. Most of the time.
ReplyDeleteLara H. took that photo. I love it!
DeleteNext time I catch you eating crow I am SO going to point it out to you!!!! :D
I love my little shadow/bed partner! At least she's not a cat!
ReplyDeleteYes Nat! There is hope for you yet! :D
