This morning I opened up my blinds and saw this loverly on my window.
And then I looked down and saw this...........
I think today would be a good day to look up and beyond what is front of my nose.
Like the fact that I am almost done with this project so I can finally get my baby sis' family Christmas gift off in the mail to her before the weather is too warm for what I've knit for them.
I was instructed as Mr. J went out the door for school to take care of Mr. Giraffe. Mr. Giraffe can keep me company while I finish up my knitting project. We'll think happy positive thoughts together. Things like, how grateful I am that Mr. Giraffe is stuffed with stuffing and doesn't poop and how when Levi got up this morning his diaper was dry!! One can hope..............
What made that poopy mess in your yard? Canada geese?
ReplyDeleteHope you and Mr. G had a great and uplifting day....looking up is almost always the answer - unless those poopers are flying overhead!
:) Some dang bird made the mess on several of my windows and the mess in the yard..... I'm afraid is from our four legged critters we keep in the house. DOGgonit!
DeleteMy poor mother years ago had her hair done all purdy. We went to the park after and a bird flew by and pooped on her new coiffed hair. Birds are no respecters of persons........
At least your doggy critters keep it all in one place....Mercy is all over the yard. Thankfully the yard isn't very big at this house.
DeleteMy dogs are attached to a rope which is attached to the house so they can only go in one spot. :) I don't have a fenced yard so they would take off if I didn't tie them up while they are outside.
DeleteYEAH - I was all dressed up for work at Six Flags one summer morning, and on my long trek from the employee parking lot to the shop, got nailed big time. Hit my hair and went right down over my shoulder. THAT was fun. We trained the puppies to one area of the yard - but, yeah = they got creative as they grew. What I love are the bits of bright yellow snow. Sad - it's really quite a nice color.
ReplyDeleteYellow. Such a pretty color.............
DeleteI am enjoying all of this snow though. I'd much rather go through a dreary January with snow than without and all is grey and brown.... the snow at least reflects light.
Isn't that just like life...? Sometimes it takes reminding ourselves to look for the good even on 'poopy' days... :-)
ReplyDeleteBy the way... I LOVE your new header... :D
Thank you! The header is a little squished but it works for now...
DeleteLife sometimes can get so hard that holding one's head up is just too hard but if I can just remind myself, even when my head is down, to lift my eyes...... that small thing can make a huge difference.
LOL! I can not imagine the Maxx factor. Well, I'm around horses so I guess I can imagine excepting I'll take horse poo over dog poo any day! :D
ReplyDeletepoop is most definitely best overlooked, it's all to easy to spot it wherever you look, so seeking the good in life and spending a while knitting with a giraffe is definitely a good way to go on with your day xxx
ReplyDeleteAgreed! I finally finished the project in that photo. Now I need to venture into the cold freezing world and get a package mailed off to my sister. Was for Christmas but who's asking? :D
DeleteHow can it be that I am SO far behind????? Story of my life. So, yeah, a timely reminder to see beyond the poop. As you so wonderfully pointed out, poop happens, but so do gorgeous sunrises.
ReplyDeleteQuit lapping the rest of us and pretending you're behind! I refuse to let you lap me again! :D
DeleteI tell myself often that after every poop there is a beautiful sunrise, I mean, after every dark night there is a beautiful sunrise. :D
Lapping - you really got me thinking on that one. So NOT lapping. Behind, behind, and behinder.
DeleteSpeaking of behinds, LOL at your last sentence.
I was going to say moonrise 'butt' Kristen would be all over that one telling me I am incorrigible!! :D
DeleteButt, you are DELIGHTFULLY incorrigible.
DeleteButt, THANK YOU Ginger! :D
