Pink

This morning when I got up, I could see a pink hue around all of the blinds that weren't open yet.  The Natives noticed that everything looked pink too.  We opened the blinds, looked outside, and everything was pink!

You know what this means don't you.................

Me thinks we had some visitors up to no good....................

Either the Cat in the Hat came to visit or the smog in the air is getting bad.  I'm going to pretend the pink is from the Cat in the Hat and go back to bed.  Hopefully when I wake up the 'mess' will be cleaned up and we can all breathe a nice sigh of clean air relief!

  1. Oh My Heck! How can something so pretty be such a pain in the head? And you know your Dr. Seuss!

    1. I do know my Dr. Seuss! I love Dr. Seuss!

The skies lately have reminded me of when we have fires all over the valley in the summer. Gross air but amazing sunrises and sunsets.

I miss living in the country........... :) Nice clean air.

    2. Yeah, we don't have much pollution here in Kingwood...
I love Dr. Seuss, too. Loved reading as many of the books as I could right around his birthday in March...and the rest later! I don't have a complete collection, but I have many.

    3. Same here. We've got quite a few. When I was a little girl, my favorite was the People House book.

  2. what an amazing sky - shame that it's smoggy instead of moggy! xxx (moggy is english slang for cat incase it doesn't translate well and I'm inadvertantly being rude!)

    1. :D That is clever! smoggy/moggy with my Cat in the Hat reference. We've no 'moggy' here so no worries on translation. It fits quite well with this post. I'm going to have to remember that...... moggy.... It tickles my funny bone, that term.

    1. You've seen it before though, that odd lighting when we've had fires...

It was so interesting. The blinds were closed and all around the edges it was bright pink light coming through!

  6. It's pink! Really, really PINK! I've never seen such a thing. I think I'd be worried if I saw pink snow outside my window...and then I'd grab the camera. Only, I'd have to go outside, find the horses and get shots of them in PINK snow. Then I'd be cold and grumpy AND worried, but thrilled that I had pictures of wacky pink snow. And since we're Doc Seussing here, my favourite is "Oh, the Places You'll Go!" Maybe that's boring of me.

    1. Our weather 'warmed' up the last two days. Our snow is starting to melt and today the sun is out. Horray!! This winter has felt so dark and cold so far. I like color! Even if it is pink! :D
