Busy

Busy celebrating this Natives 14th birthday........

Busy making triple berry pies.........

Busy celebrating bounty and things we are thankful for...........

Busy hiking up into the mountains looking for the perfect tree............

Busy laughing at a tree with eight legs.............

Busy having melty mom moments when I look back and see Mr. M holding a stick in front of his little brother so his brother has an easier time making it down the steep mountain...........

And later as little brother continues to hold onto the stick older brother uses to help him.

Busy watching The SM and several Natives try to get the tree on the truck............

Busy running outside to take a moment to appreciate God's artistry when Mr. M asks me to join him....

Busy............... means I'm healthy and doing well.  I like busy..............

  1. Okay. Gin made me cry. This just opened it up. My busy has been nothing like this. No, that's wrong. There have been moments. YOur journaling of these things is a beautiful blessing. Again, the lights outside your house, which I have not yet seen, I'm sure are great. But the lights inside your life shine like a beacon. We never know, I think, how blessed we really are, because we live in the minds that see these things are normal - but for those outside, who see, the remarkable beauty is obvious and glorious.

    1. The lights outside are three strands of lights. Three different colors. Next to my Disney Land neighbors they look like Charlie Brown lights but Mr. J and Levi wanted lights up so The SM helped them hang the lights which make them better than Disney Land. Especially when little Mr. J told me that his daddy said he'd helped and made it go by faster and, "I don't know how because all I did was talk to daddy". :)

  2. These pictures run the gamut from hilarious (giant turkey leg) to beautiful (moonrise) to hallowed (brotherly love)...and your life is so full of all these things....like Kristen said...blessings - obvious and glorious!
Can't wait to see that giant 8 legged tree up and decorated!
And your health and happiness make my heart happy, too!

    1. That giant turkey leg is as big as the Native eating it! It was huge!

The 8 legged tree still sits here with no decorations on it. We've had the flu here which I did NOT post photos of..... yes, you're welcome. We're hoping to adorn the tree this evening. Then I'll post photos. :)

    2. What the blog didn't mention is that we held a little raffle to see who gets the turkey legs. Of course, the littlest angel got one, much to the dismay of the much larger and much hungrier older siblings.

  3. Busy like this is definitely busy of the good kind and 'healthy and doing well' is wonderful. Long may it continue, with just enough quiet patches sprinkled in for you to stop a moment and enjoy fabulous sunsets. By the way that triple berry pie looks so delicious!

  5. Oh my goodness! Would you believe that last week that three people in this household came down with the horrendous and I mean horrendous stomach flu and I WASN'T ONE OF THEM! How is that for good health??

I am very much smiling. :D

  7. Beautiful. So very beautiful. The love, the light - everything just shines. That first mountain-climbing photo made me gasp. Gorgeous shot! And what I really love about all of this is how very warm it is, quite despite the snow.

So happy to hear that you are busy in a good way.

    Blessings...

    1. I should have but didn't write about all of the mud!! Because it has been so warm we had some real issues with the mud and saw a truck ahead of us go off the side of the mountain because of the mud. At one point we were sliding and white nail gripping our seats as we backed down the mountain and decided we'd gone far enough. Just too warm. The ground should be frozen!

It has gotten a bit colder this past week which is good. We need hard freezes and lots of snow. Not that it makes it very fun for driving and being out and about but you being a farmer know.....

My days are full and I just love it. I like this kind of busy. It is busy that I create for myself. Well most of it. :D

  8. I wish you were busy running out the door to meet me to go running...I really miss it. Perhaps, after Christmas we can test my knee out again.
I love all of these pictures! I laughed out loud at the one of them tying the tree to the truck. So very Clark Griswald! Maybe that will be Brian's new nickname... :)

  9. Your photos are simply choice. The accompanying story is even more dear.

I loooooved the 8-legged tree. I also loved the brothers bound together by a piece of wood.

You've got such a fine brood. They've got such a fine mom.
