Meet Zoe!!

I went to the school and picked up Levi early.  I told him we were going to go on an adventure.  He had no idea where we were going or what we were doing.  How fun is this to surprise Levi with his new puppy that he has named, Zoe.  Our friends were going on a road trip up to where Zoe was and offered to bring her back for us.  We met them part of the way.

So darling!!!  Zoe is even cuter in person than we imagined!

Poor Daphney doesn't know what to think of the little white impostor.  We started with keeping a gate between the two just in case........

So, this video please ignore Levi calling Daphney a tightie whitie (don't ask) and my boasting how smart our little puppy is only to witness at the end of the video her go potty on the kitchen floor.  Serves me right.  I will say this, she is a brilliant puppy because she has gone potty outside ever since.  I'm sure she'll never have an accident in the house ever again........  (the glass is half full okay?)

Levi and Zoe.

Seriously?  You expect me to accomplish anything when Zoe is doing this?

We're all suckers.......

Even The Scout Master.  Took her right out of my arms he did!

So, Zoe decided to tell Levi all about her life up until now.......

What a story she told of having to share a bathroom with 10 other siblings.  It was horrendous!

Ni-Night!

  1. I think Zoe has conquered...pretty much everyone... :) So very cute.

I'm so glad you were able to find a new and precious pup to be Levi's special friend. And while I know she'll never be Julie, I have the feeling she'll carve out her own special place in all of your hearts. I love how she is already watching over Levi.

By the way - I love your new header... :D

    1. She is a darling. You're right. She's not Julie and I still miss her terribly. Last night when the two were in bed I looked at the bottom of Levi's bed where Julie's blanket still is. I can't bring myself to move it yet. I miss her........

The header was taken by a good friend of ours. She's a very talented lady.

    2. I'd like to think Julie is still around helping watch out for Levi and the rest of the family...and now Zoe... :)

I'm still so very sorry for your loss, especially since she was such an amazing and blessed part of your family's life. It's been a tough year, hasn't it?

    3. It has been a tough year. My friend, Donna, told me that Zoe means life. I like that!

  2. Squeal! Oh, I can't even find words. I'm in a hurry here, getting ready to head out the door for the work day, but I HAD to pop over to meet Zoe. She is ADORABLE! Best of all is Levi's grin as Zoe shares her tales with him. Oh, I have melted. And OF COURSE you can't do anything else as the warm little bundle of love sleeps on you. I mean, there are priorities!

    1. You're making me laugh as I read your response. Puppies do that to us. They make us squeal and our voices go high and squeaky and the baby talk starts to flow.....

I have a feeling I am not going to be accomplishing much for several days. She's a snuggler! We like snugglers........

  3. It is all just so sweet....I am so happy for all of you. Now, you just need Daphne to come around. Don't you think that Zoe, the snuggler, can win over even the alpha dog? Do they sniff noses through the gate yet? How much snow did you have to shovel to make a potty place?
    Happy days!

    1. Daphney is still being a pill. It will probably take a week maybe. The funny thing is she is laying at my feet right now and won't let me out of her sight. We've been giving her lots of encouragement so she knows we still love her. She is letting Zoe get closer and closer to her so that is good.

I haven't had to shovel snow yet! Zoe is doing SO GOOD! I carry her outside when she wakes up and plop her on the ground and she immediately does her thing. She's done both poo and potty outside today. Potty during the night about every 2 hours until 4 AM this morning. She went potty and then didn't get up until 7 AM when the phone rang!! I was so excited because the every 2 hours was killing me. Amazing how 3 hours is so much longer than 2. :)

She is funny about the snow though. She acts like she has tape on her paws. :)

    2. I'm sure Daphney will come around...sounds like you are doing everything right.
Where did Zoe sleep last night after all the cuddling was done?
You can do some time controls with when her last drink of water is and all like that, but I'm sure you know that....just have to let her bladder get bigger.
I am so happy that you all found each other!
I can just picture her doing the shaky dance with her feet!

    3. Zoe slept in her crate and I slept on the floor in front of her crate. :D It was a long night. She slept.... I snoozed..... :D

She's starting to try to cue us on when she needs to go potty. Not all of the time.... but sometimes. We're both trying to learn each other's signals. She did awesome last night. When she'd wake up she'd whimper. I'd take her out and back to bed she'd go. Hoping tonight is the same or better! I can deal with better.... maybe 3 hours instead of 2 hours between potty breaks. :D

  4. Wish I could give Zoe a cuddle too - she looks so sweet. I'm so happy for you all Rachel, especially Levi - he and Zoe are going to have so many fun adventures together x

    1. I hope so! Right now she is bonding to me which is to be expected as I am the primary care giver. Feeding her, taking care of her other needs, sleeping by her, etc. I'm looking forward to her getting potty trained so she can sleep with Levi and bond to him.

  5. That puppy is about as cute as they get! I love the shots of her sleeping on top off everyone. I'd be a sucker too!

    1. Yesterday Zoe played hard so all she wanted to do today is sleep and cuddle. I have to tell you, we were all fighting over who was going to snuggle with Zoe. It's been fun. While she sleeps she makes these little baby puppy noises. Oh melty heart.

  6. They make suckers out of the best of us. Good I wasn't holding her when I took that header.

    1. Not a sucker. Just eating a lot of crow. And swinging on swings. Zoe likes to swing.
