Today is the first day of school. Well. Sort of. Where are the photos of your adorable Natives you ask?
Ummm. Well, last week Mr. C and T started school on Monday. Mr. M started on Wednesday, today Henny Penny, Levi, and Mr. J started, and on the 29th Mr. B is going to start.
In other words, I'm lame and lazy. Gone are the days when they all started on the same day, were lined up with their cute little backpacks that were bigger than they were, pish posh in their new shoes and duds, hair done and faces washed.
I keep seeing the cutest photos of my neighbors kids being posted today. After we've all left for school, that is when I remember. Oh. I kinda shoulda took pictures of The Native's on their first day of school.
So, you know me! I'm going to have to make up for it. Better hold onto your shorts........ it's gonna be a great back to school photo!
How in the world do you keep track of all of that????? I would be sending the wrongs ones to the wrong school on the wrong day for sure!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the perfect back to school photo....probably better to wait until all of them have actually had a first day, right?
You make me laugh.
I have a piece of paper that I've written all of the times The Native's have to leave in the morning. Seriously! It is posted on my wall because I can never remember.
DeleteStill working on the back to school photo...... I might get it posted on the last day of school the rate I go these days.
I only did that once. That was enough. Since I had only about ten photos of my entire childhood, I thought I did pretty good to pull out the camera at least four or five times a year.
ReplyDeleteBesides, you've taken some sumptuous shots of your tribe and I can testify on that account.
That is my sentiments exactly Ginger. I figure I've taken way more photos of The Native's than were ever taken of me so I'm doing okay. :)
DeleteThat is what I tell myself anytime I feel like I am missing the 'mother of the year' mark.
Just another example of how growing up kids mess up our perfect family life.
ReplyDeleteTruer words were never spoken........... EXACTLY!!!
DeleteSnickering. I don't have any backpack pictures. Oh - yeah - they never DID go through that. Ah, well - I'll live vicariously through all you guys. Wish we'd had backpacks when we were going to school - would have made the walk a whole lot less awful.
ReplyDeleteYeah yeah yeah. Snicker all you want. Snicker that all of yours are out of nest and you are't up at some unearthly hour trying to blearily get all of your kids out the door on time while you're at it. :)
DeleteI think I've been tricked. What appears to be a normal door is actually a revolving door. They are always coming and going! I can't keep up!
