Jealous!

As parents we try to give our children opportunities. Opportunities we may not have had ourselves growing up. At times it may seem as if some parents are living vicariously through their children, I am not one of them.

This Native has joined her older brothers in spending her weekends on horseback.

That is all fine and dandy but here lies the problem. I've six more weeks before I can get back up on a horse.

Lucky for this punk because if I could ride, I'd have yanked her off her horse and made her stay home and watch the little ones while I rode off into the sunset.

  2. I love that helmet! I rode horses growing up, but never with any head gear. Shem rode a pony last week and it never even crossed my mind. As a helmet nazi, I think I might be slipping. Yikes!

  4. I love the smile on her face. I can tell that she thinks the back of a horse is a heavenly place. It makes me want to go too.

  6. LOL - EMMA!! BUSTED!!!!

And may I say, if that kid lands on that helmet and dents it that you are both in SO MUCH TROUBLE????

And here's my response to the images: OH - is THAT what you're supposed to do with a horse? I thought they were just for feeding and shoveling up after.

    Dang. Wish I'd known.

  7. Emma, Yup! Good ol' reliable Honey Bear.

Lyndee, We like to call them brain buckets. :D

Misty, Emma? Comment? I didn't see Emma comment. Nope, you must be thinking of someone else. ;)

Chastina, The look on her face is why I ran and got my camera. She does look happy doesn't she.

Jody, Awwww shucks! :D You're so nice!

Natalie, One of these days......one of these days.....

Kristen, Poor Emma. I tried to cover for her. :)

I know!!! I know!!! But, it's the only helmet that fits her. Feel like driving up to Callister's anytime soon? Henny Penny needs some gear.

Yes, you ride them Kristen. You don't have them in your back yard and play fetch with them. :D

  8. Rachel, I really want to ride too! Do you know what's on my bucket list? I want to ride on a horse while it's running. I've done plenty of walking, trotting and sitting on horse while it eats, but I want to run!

Anyway you could help me out someday?

  13. Mary, Thank you! I'm not a photographer but I do enjoy taking photos.

It is never too late to learn to ride. The more I ride and the more people I meet through riding the more I learn this is true.

Don't give up on a wish! :D Go for it!!
