THIRTEEN!

Guess who is thirteen?  Yup!  Another teenager in this house of mine.

Henny Penny was so excited to hit the big 13.  The Mum on the other hand was totally lame and didn't take photos of our excursion out together where Henny Penny got her toes painted.  A pedicure.  Her first.  Cute toes!

And then she got a new bike.  True to Henny Penny style, she didn't like/want any of the girly bikes I pulled out for her to try.  She ended up with a boys bike.  All black.  I love that about her.  One of her many qualities that I love.  Very down to earth.  My girl!

    1. :) She is a lot of fun. As she is starting to find herself, I love who she is becoming more and more.

  2. Oh, happy, happy birthday! Thirteen is fabulous. And such a beautiful thirteen-year-old she is. I'm not the least bit surprised that she is very down to earth. How could she be anything but, with such a loving, solid grounding to grow from.

Wishing Henny Penny her birthday wishes...

    1. Thank you Wabi! You know how it is as parents. We do our best and hope for the best and cross our fingers and eye balls (especially when our teenagers are rolling their eyes at us). I feel blessed with the way The Natives are turning out. It is rewarding.

  3. Oh, Happy Happy Day! I only know how much I enjoyed watching my little kids 'become' more and more themselves over a year of teaching them....can't imagine the adventure of watching for years and years.
You and the SM are raising a fine crop!

  5. I have not visited for too long and I'm so sorry I didn't come around sooner and wish the lovely Henny Penny the happiest of birthdays. Looks and sounds like it was a very good birthday though x

    1. :) You've been missed Julie. It was a very good birthday. Being the only girl, she does get spoiled just a wee tad.
