Cowboy Up

What happens when you take amazing photography skills and add them to an all around good looking Native who needs a Senior picture for the year book ASAP because he's waited until the last minute...... because he's a typical Senior even if he is dang good lookin'?

You get a photo shoot that looks like this:  Click on these words

Thank you Jason at Back Roads Photography!  Once again, you amaze me with your talent behind a camera!

  1. It's an interesting collection. The color in the walking away shot is pretty spectacular. I'd be afraid to ask anyone to do a study like that of me - though I believe there were times in my life when I'd have treasured having someone with an eye show me what I was really like. But that's a complicated question - as these shots show. So many shades of being, and some not demonstrated - even a good eye maybe can't do the job. But this is one handsome cowpoke. I like the ones where he is looking directly at us, his eyes clear, that half-smile I have known for so many years suggesting a willingness to laugh, but a reservation of commitment to it -

    1. No kidding. I know I'd feel the same. Photo shop out the fat, photo shop out the grey hair, photo shop out the wrinkles and zits and and and....... and then I'd be no better than all of the magazine editors in the world..........

I love the ones of him smiling at the camera too.

  3. These really turned out fabulous. But then again, it seems that anything that Jason points that camera at does. Not that good ol' B didn't add his own little ingredient of HANDSOME to the mix. My favorites are the one where he is looking up at the camera and that last one- beautiful!

    1. That last one is really is fantastic. Especially if you saw the 'stuff' in the background that Jason flawlessly took out and no one would know!

  4. Yikes. He's a handsome cowboy. I love the black and white one and the walking away one the best, but all of them are great photos.
Who put the words with? I loved the whole feel of the story. Does it tell Mr. B's story?
Sometimes, evidently, last minute is perfect!

    1. Jason the photographer put the words with. In a lot of ways it does tell Mr. B's story. I hadn't thought of it but yes, going back and reading, it does. A lot!

  5. What a man! My favorite is the squatting one in front of that amazing piece of farm machinery. Which reminded me of a bit of cowboy wisdom I heard once: DON'T SQUAT WITH YOUR SPURS ON! I noticed that he decided not to wear a tux while sitting at the grand piano! Maybe next time....

No, no tux sitting at the grand piano........ maybe when he graduates with his Masters? :D

    1. He's a good looking kid through and through. He doesn't think he is, but he is, which makes him all the more good looking.

  7. I know! I can't wait for the rest of the photo shoot. This was a quick one to get his photo in the school yearbook. Plus, we'll be having Jason do our whole family soon. Can't wait to see those too.

    1. The setting is where we spend our weekends and have for years. It is where The Native's ride horses. Many happy and good memories....
