FINALLY!!!

Now that my great nephew is born, raised, gone to college, gotten married I've finished his little baby knit vest!!

Maybe he can use it as an aerated sock if it doesn't fit.....

I used the Cascade 220 Super Wash Sport yarn for this project.  My first time doing argyle.  Quite fun actually and since I was knitting with my two favorite colors, red and blue...... doubly fun!

P. S.  Alex, don't read this or look at this post until little (I'm hoping he's still little) S.'s package arrives!

Now that I've finished with this project I am onto other projects.  I'm knitting some slippers for Henny Penny at the moment to be felted.  Really really hoping they turn out.  If they don't, we'll have some fancy wool to slip onto our hands and dust the house with.

Happy Friday!!  The SM has been gone all week and flies in tonight.  I can't wait.  Sleeping snuggled up to his pillow just isn't the same...............

I'm pretty sure that knitting argyle is a superpower.

    2. I thought it would be a lot harder but once again, it is one of those things that isn't hard but looks impressive. I like projects like that. :D

  4. The vest looks super and I'm most impressed with your fairisle work - it's very neat. Hope the felting turns out well - I've never felted anything (well not on purpose anyway!) so if it works out I'll be coming to you for tips.

    1. From you this is compliment indeed!! I didn't know what I was doing and just went for it.

I haven't started the felting yet. I ran out of yarn! :( Yarn that there is no more of so I am trying to figure out what I am going to do.

    2. have you thought of searching on Ravelry - I often pick up discontinued yarns that people have stashed and are prepared to sell - just do a search on the yarn and when you find it click 'stashes' and then in status click 'will trade or sell'. Hope you can track some down otherwise maybe they'll have to be multicoloured slippers!

    3. I wish I could. I bought the yarn from Linda Dawkins. It is yarn she spun herself and died herself. The only skein she made I bought. :D It's my own fault. I don't plan these things veyr well. :D

  5. Wow. That's a nice little piece of work. Looks tight and very well done, dearie face. Better than the one I did. But then, maybe mine looked okay before I felted it by accident. Hey - I could cut that one up for dusting, maybe -

    1. Felted argyle. Hmmmm. That's another way of getting extra tight stitches. :)

  6. REAL tight, actually. No, oddly - the front didn't look any better. But the carry over in the back turned solid.
