A birthday. Levi had a birthday and wanted to go to a place that is filled with trampolines with his friends.
For two hours they jumped all over this building. Jumping requires one to keep a hold of one's pants if you don't want them to fall down which makes you stop, look around to see if anyone notices, say, "oops", and then yank your pants back up again.
In a screened off netted area there are rope swings that you can swing on.
Having your older sister there to help you is quite handy because Levi's mom was engrossed in a book most of the time on the sidelines. Bladders that have been kicked by a gazillion babies don't like trampolines.. (just defending Levi's mom...........)
Eleven candles for a boy who has turned eleven! Amazing! Never would have thought several years ago that we'd make it to eleven. Boy howdy am I glad we did!
Levi invited his friends to his party. Almost all of them attended. There was one....... She didn't come. Not that she didn't want to!! It's just the trampoline place doesn't allow four legged critters to parties and the other friend Levi invited, her name is, "Cocoa" and she's Mr. D's dog. Levi loves Cocoa. Mr. D is pictured on the left standing next to Levi. Standing on the right is Mr. O. So secretive aren't we??
Levi wanted a black cake for his birthday. We were quite puzzled. A black cake? He was so stressed that the store would be out of black cake! He ran to where the cakes are and pulled out this chocolate cake. Oh good! They didn't run out of black cake! :D Ohhhhh! Black cake is chocolate cake!!
Sorry. Had to add a Zoe photo since she was an early birthday present for Levi. This is how I feel at the end of the day. Yawwwwwwn!!!
Happy Birthday Levi!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEVI!!!! That is me and Toby shouting it at the top of our voices - well me shouting it and Toby looking at me like I've gone bonkers! That looks like the most amazing place for a birthday party (Toby would have been awestruck by all of those joined up trampolines!).
ReplyDeleteRachel, I have only had my bladder squished and squashed by 2 babies but I know full well the consequences of trampoline bouncing now - sounds like reading by the side is definitely the right choice!
I plan to email you later (I know I keep saying that but I will make good on my promise) in case it is later than planned I'll send our best wishes to you all for a lovely Easter xxx
This made me laugh out loud and made the family wonder what I was laughing at. The image of Toby looking at you like you'd gone bonkers!! :D Awesome!!
DeleteToby would have been beside himself in heaven at this place with all of the trampolines. You'd never have gotten him to leave!
Happy Easter to you too Julie!!! Our "Easter Bunny" brought treats back from the UK!! :D
Sounds like the perfect day! Hope the next year is a happy one!
ReplyDeleteNext year is going to be a big milestone!! The big 12~
DeleteWow, Zoe is getting so big! And I never had babies, but the bladder won't let me jump on the trampolines either. Grrrrr. I love to jump!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your Lucky Levi...
Blessings all over the year to come.
Zoe is getting huge! I swear we should have named her zucchini!
DeleteI do love jumping on trampolines. Maybe we should all put on diapers and pretend we're having a 'baby' party and jump to our hearts content. :D
I guess I should count my blessings that my babies left my bladder intact, and I LOVE jumping on trampolines!!!
ReplyDeleteWish I could have been there . . . even if Levi and I have never met!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LEVI!!!!!!!!!!! (Those are 11 exclamation points for 11 years old)
You still have your bladder?? NO WAY! Lucky lady indeed!
DeleteYou will meet Levi soon!!!!!
I love black cake, too.
ReplyDeleteMe too. A little too much.
DeleteThat last shot with a very contented 11-year-old Levi beside his early birthday present . . . well, it's very, very dear. I'm so glad you record the little things - like the gotta-have-the-black-cake story. Stuff like that is worth remembering. Oh. I also loved the Blow Out the Candles shot. Biiiiiig cheeks and just one more candle to go.
ReplyDeleteI think I'll remember the little things but we don't! Life gets busy and I can't remember if I'm getting up in the morning or if I'm getting back in bed to sleep for the night!
DeleteYou're so funny! You'd have been sitting on the sidelines gabbing with me until I got a wild hair and then you'd have come jumping chasing after me!
ReplyDeleteYeah! I do! :D
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday, Levi! I'm sorry I'm late, it just seems to be one of my adjectives lately (ha). What a party! The perfect place to jump for joy, for that is what 11th birthday parties are about. It's what *life* is about, and I can see that you already know that, lovely 11-year-old. And I like black cake too. Oh, how I like it!
ReplyDeleteWishing you your birthday wishes...
You know what I am tired of doing lately? Apologizing. Having to constantly say that I am sorry because I forgot something, am late, forgot something, am late, forgot something, forgot something, forgot something.............. This last Saturday I told a group of ladies after telling them sorry fifty times because I was so organized and kept forgetting some things which required another lady to keep running to the store, I said, "I'm tired of saying I'm sorry! I'm not saying it anymore"!!!! :D
DeleteYou're not late Wabi. I'm late getting these photos posted. I'd say I was sorry but....... I'm not saying sorry anymore! :D Well, at least for five minutes.........
You are right- Cocoa would have gladly came. Can you imagine her chasing them all over the tramp place? That would be a hoot! Maybe we need our own tramp place that is dog friendly.... :)
ReplyDeleteThat would be a funny sight! I'm all for dog friendly tramps. ;)
