Fly Like An Eagle.......
This boy had his Eagle court of honor last Saturday. More photos to come later.......
This is where Mr. T thanked everyone in his life who helped him on the road to his rank of Eagle. Well, almost everyone. He was reminded from someone in the audience that he forgot one person which then made him go red in the face with embarrassment and I howled with laughter! Then when we came home I made him scrub my kitchen floor on his hands and knees with a toothbrush. Every tile he scrubbed he had to say, "I love my mommy. She is the best mommy in the whole world. I would be nothing without my mommy. I'm so grateful for my mommy".

Having never had a son, I can only imagine what a proud (the good kind of proud!) moment this must be for a "mommy". You raised him right!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Mr. T. (and his parents) for such a wonderful accomplishment!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to ALL of you! What a great accomplishment.
ReplyDeleteThose pictures made my heart sing! They speak a thousand words. You see, the uniforms say it all. Such commitment to a cause that builds boys into something extraordinary. You're a strong family. The setting was beautiful, too; much better than a church hall, I would say.
ReplyDeleteHahaha when he said "Oh yeah!" it was hard not to bust up laughing. :D
ReplyDeleteHar har. A toothbrush. If he really knows how to do that, I know another floor he can come on over and do. I HAVE A DVD OF THE PICTURES - I just have to remember to bring it to you. It was a beautiful thing, that court of honor.
ReplyDeleteSee you are just such a constant that he took it for granted that you would know that he loves you...it is nice to be reminded thought :-)
ReplyDeleteCongrats to you and your young man!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great young man...
