I have been having so much fun using my Mom's old spinning wheel!
I've been taking a class where I have been getting roughly a F minus minus minus. That would be a F triple minus. Well, I will have you know that I have improved my grade to about an F+ or D-.
My dear - the wheel is beautiful and you will end up with an A - I promise. I know you.
ReplyDeleteKristen, Sniffle. Only an A-? No A+ I'm A PERFECTIONIST!!! You can't tell me this!
ReplyDeleteMaybe she meant an A period. And then - I promise.
ReplyDeleteBut anyway, the little imperfections are what make homemade so much more!
Donna, I bet that is exactly what she meant! :D I do like the look of the chunky yarn actually... Kind of fun.
ReplyDeleteWhy on earth are you saying you've worked your way up to an F+/D-? I'm confused. Did I miss part of the story? Your yarn is beautiful! And weren't your earlier posts about wool successful, too?
ReplyDeleteAnaise, I'll post photos of my yarn and you'll see. :D My first batches really are quite dreadful. But I am improving! And having fun! So that is what counts right? :D
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the old spinnin wheel used. You're doing great! Love, Mom
ReplyDeleteJody, I'm told by several that I was born in the wrong century. :D
ReplyDeleteMom, Fun isn't it! I'll post my first batches of yarn later today.
