Brokenhearted

Thank you for saving my life.  Twice!

Thank you for the midnight rides.

Thank you for taking care of my babies when they were on your back.

Thank you for going forehead to forehead and bringing peace to my spirit.

Thank you for taking care of me when I was too weak to ride but knew that I'd be safe on your back.

  3. Donna - his name was Kane. Is Kane. He was a lovely, dignified horse with a lovely, dignified soul that I believe now knows everything about the universe, and abides in peace. This was a day of deep tragedy for us, but also of amazing outpourings of kindness and love. It was very hard. And now lives will have huge holes in them where a big, wonderful boy once fit. Her heart really was broken.

But all of you who comment here? Your love is felt also. For Rachel, I say thank you. Thank you so much.

  4. I am so sorry Rachel. I know you loved Kane deeply. I understand that kind of love for an animal. Kane may have been born a horse but he passed on a gentleman. He gave so much in his life to you and yours. It would be the worst form of a lie to call any place where animals were banned from "Paradise." Certainly no loving God would separate people from their animal friends for eternity. Kane had a job to do. He will be there waiting for you on the other side. I am so sorry for your great sadness and loss now my friend. Please let me know if you need to talk. I love you.

  6. Oh, Rachel. Crying here. I know that when Griffen passed away, I was staggered by the enormity of the loss. Such powerful, gentle spirits leave gaping, heartbreaking holes. The horses that we love, that we connect with so profoundly are such a precious gift. And when the time comes, such a devestating loss. And Kane was far too young.

I am so sorry for your loss.

    Love to you all...
