What do you get when you mix someone really talented, who has a gift, an eye behind a lens that can capture something beautiful, and a little boy named Levi?
If you go here to this site you can see the images even better.
Last Saturday Mr.Z came and spent several hours photographing Levi as Levi worked and played. Levi spent a good hour out in the elements raking leaves and moving them from one side of the yard to the other on his wagon that has seen better days. Even when the snows started to come sideways at us Levi kept moving leaves and Mr.Z behind his camera captured it all.
Mr. Z as you recall from this post and this news article isn't just an awesome school teacher, he is also a photographer and as you can see....a very talented photographer who was a really good sport on Saturday.
Thanks Mr. Z for capturing "Levi".
Oh Rachel the pictures were absolutely breath taking, I couldn't help but tear up as I took them in!
ReplyDeleteWhat a special and amazing little spirit you have there. I look forward to our Sunday waves every week. I love that you can never prepare yourself for what comes out of his mouth next.
Beautiful!

beautiful. i just love that kid
ReplyDeleteI voiced my opinion the other day after my little sneak peek, but so it is recorded here I will tell you again. They are absolutely AMAZING! It is one thing to be able to take a fantastic photo, but to be able to capture someone or something how your heart sees them is quite another. It is simply a gift that man has.
ReplyDeleteAnyways, what fantastic treasures for you to have.
I love this man and I don't even know him! These photos are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful pictures! They definitely melted my heart.
ReplyDeleteDenae, You said it! "You can never prepare yourself for what comes out of his mouth next". LOL! That is soooo the truth.
ReplyDeleteKorrie, Mr. Z did do a beautiful job. We are so pleased.
Alex, Yeah, I kinda like that little guy myself..most days....poopy diaper moments not so much but the rest! :)
Jody, I love that. He is a blessing from God and he makes us so happy.
Natalie, I agree and both Brian and I are just tickled to death that Mr. Z was able to capture "Levi". Not the Levi that others see.....but our Levi.
Sarah, He is a very talented and gifted man. Photo shoot when you come down to visit!!!! Think he can handle the two of us? It would be a photo shoot he'd never forget. :D
Chastina, everytime I look at the photos my heart melts all over again and again and again and again.
Wow, those are really beautiful. Mr Z is a great photographer. He has an eye for capturing people as they are it looks like. And the heart to make the pictures mean something.
ReplyDeleteHow nice. I loved all the shots. Especially the ones of Levi working I think. He looks so busy and involved. And cute. How wonderful!
Ginna, LOL! Hard at work is correct. It is so funny. He takes his "work" seriously.
ReplyDeleteIncredible!!!! I want him to come to my house . . . .
ReplyDeleteThose pictures are beautiful and so precious. Little slices of his life and spirit. I love the scenes, the sillouttes, my fav. is the one with Levi's head mostly covered and his one blue eye piercing thru...kind of symbolic to me of his journey...I also love the last pic (I think) with his little hands on the keys...kind of symbolie too.
ReplyDeleteMica, there is a lot of symbolism isn't there? I now have the one of Levi with his big blue eye peeking out from under the quilt as my background photo. It is hard for me to pick a favorite as each one has meaning and as you say...a lot of symbolism. Good thing I don't have to choose a favorite! :)
