Destination

Yesterday morning as I lay in bed thinking about the pepto sweater that I could wear scuba diving and be mistaken for a piece of rubberized coral I came to this conclusion. I enjoyed the journey but the destination stunk. Big time!

So, if you don't like the destination,

Pick another one!

Just make sure to enjoy,

the journey!

This yarn was destined to be something great.

In a few months it will hopefully be a beautiful sweater that was worth the journey and the destination.

  1. WOO HOO!
Way to go. Way better than keeping something you don't like and makes you made every time you see it. And plus, like I said I like the color on you!!

  2. Gutsy. Dang good word for it. And Gin's right. And why don't I have a cool little winding tool like that, eh? Now - about the yarn - I see small horses in your future - millions and millions of small horses . . .

  5. Oh I am so glad I was not home to see this. It breaks my heart to see the hours, days, weeks (even I don't know how many) unraveled to a new beginning. I think I will throw yet one more curse at whomever created the flawed pattern that instigated the grief.

  6. Wow. I don't think I could have done that. However, I can appreciate the practicality of your decision. Of course I couldn't have knitted the dang thing in the first place.

  7. Ginna, Exactly. If I'd have kept it, I'd have just been upset everytime I saw it. This way, hopefully it will be a good thing. The pink is kinda growing on me.

Tami, It hurt in my gut when I put the darned thing on and it was hideous! Ripping it out was less painful.......the new sweater I'm making........ gutsy. Way hard! But hopefully when I show it however months from now, it will be totally worth it.

Kristen, That windy tool is the coolest!! You can borrow mine anytime. And I am NOT going to make fifty million pepto horses.....

Chastina, Me too! :D It is going to take me forEVer. But the photo is gorgeous......hmmmm, where have I heard THAT before.

Misty, I hope the floor was clean!

SM, We'll put the pattern up on the wall and throw darts at it. You. Me. It's a date!

Kathy, LOL! Yes, you could!! Seriously, knitting is not hard. I can do it therefore anyone can. Maybe not everyone would enjoy it, but anyone can do it.

Lyndee, I KNOW! Crazy is as crazy does.....

  8. Jody, LOL! You're awesome. I need to chase down the gargabe man and ask for my pattern back because that is what I did with it! I trashed it with a good riddance. I was so irritated at that pattern and the makers of it!

Yanking out a sweater is the easy part. :D
