Just An Observation
I have a friend on Face book who over time I have watched make choices that all his life he has been taught by his parents are not correct.
I've noticed something. As he continues to make choices that are more and more harmful to his eternal well being his comments on Facebook have been downright mean about others. Mainly about complete strangers. He never has anything nice to say anymore. It's all critical.
It makes me sad that he doesn't realize that the more he doesn't like himself because of the choices he is making...... the more he puts others down trying to make himself feel better?
I hope this friend, a child of God, learns to love himself again someday soon.

I know what you mean. I have a couple friends like that and I hurt for them. All I can do is pray and try to be a positive influence.
ReplyDeleteThis seems to tie in nicely with K's thoughts at the moment. Which by the way I really liked your comments about...certainly has the brain cells ticking over :-)
ReplyDeleteI think I'm going to print this out and post it somewhere prominent.
ReplyDeleteInteresting, isn't it? Like disease symptoms. There is gravity in two directions - black holes pull things into them, and the sun is so big and bright, it can pull too. But the black hole? Harder to see by. And the light shows up all the secrets in the plain light.
ReplyDeleteSo if you try to stand somewhere in the middle - try to find a "safe" zone? Yeah, the black hole will start to look oh so much more comfortable, and before you know it, you are on a journey, deeper and deeper into that gravity field. Hard to swim out. You have to want it bad. It's just so much easier to try to put yourself closer to the sun by shoving the people around you toward the dark. Your relative position may seem to change - but you'll just hit the hole with your back, eventually.
Now I'm going to have breakfast 0 - something is obviously not clicking right in my head =
