My birthday. Reason enough!

Because it's my birthday and I wanna, I bought some cool yarn. Isn't it wonderful that that is an option? I want something, so I get it? Think about it. Not everyone has that blessing. But I do and so therefore did.

A very cool colorway if you ask me. I think it is so fun to see the yarn in a hank like this and then

how it looks wound up like this. Gives you more of an idea of what it will look like knit up. So, what to do with this yarn?

I went to ravelry.com. The most awesome place where you can get a lot of patterns for free. All sorts and I saw this pattern and thought it would look smashing done up in my yarn.

So I downloaded this gal's pattern. Happy day! Happy knitting!

  2. Happy happy birthday, Rachel dear! I like the color. I want to relearn how to knit. I'm still perfecting my crocheting...but when I saw the sweater you made...I need me a tutoring book.

  3. Julie, Thank you!!

Natalie, Okay Mom. Quickly I'll obey. :D

Lyndee, Knitting is sooo easy. Seriously. If you go to Heindlseman's (sp?) on center st. they will spend HOURS teaching you for free. I know, cuz my bahootie has worn a hole in their chairs! They are fabulous and SO patient. They have to be when working with me!

  4. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I should have gotten on facebook today..I would have known that. :)

I went to Hobby Lobby yesterday and walked very slowly through the yarn. I never do that. I thought...I want to knit like Rachel. And I want THIS yarn and THIS yarn....oh, they had some cool stuff too. And a "I taught myself to knit" kit. But I think going somewhere and getting help would be better. I am going to learn. I decided.

    Happy Birthday again! :)

Tami, Thank you. I didn't know that! A popular day.
