Live!

Saturday morning I awoke to a dense fog and freezing temperatures. Makes a body want to sit inside in front of a warm fire and sip hot cocoa. Instead I had a crazy notion and threw on some warm outer wear over my jammies and went out to see what I could find in the window of my camera.

Later in the day I took my baby girl and Mr. C to their horsemanship lessons. On the way home, a song came on the radio.

"....what you don't understand is
I’d catch a grenade for ya
Throw my hand on a blade for ya
I’d jump in front of a train for ya
You know I'd do anything for ya
I would go through all this pain,
Take a bullet straight through my brain,
Yes, I would die for ya baby....."

It's got a catchy tune but all I could think while I listened to the song was, good grief! Thank heavens The SM would LIVE for me!

Sounds all romantic to youth I guess to have somebody say they'd die for you but let's face it, in reality, it is much harder to live.

I'm so grateful for The SM in my life. The day in and day out living he does for our family. The commitment and promises made that he takes so seriously. How in the world did I ever get so blessed........ I'll never know....

  2. Beautiful pics! I agree that it is harder to live with someone than die for them.

  3. Holy cow! Those pictures are beautiful!

And I agree--I'm so glad I have a husband who lives for me, and the opportunity to live for him . . . and all our kids.

  5. Mr. Random, Is that what that was? I was wondering.......

Chastina, I know for a fact it would be much easier to shoot oneself in the head than live with someone like me! :D

Anaise, Thank you. They're not brilliant or anywhere near professional but it was fun taking them and exploring with my camera.

I know that your family is greatly blessed having you as their mum/wife and the living you do for them.

Linn, Thank you and thank you. Now imagine what sorts of photos I could put up if I actually knew what I was doing! :)

  6. Dear Random kid: cool gave way to freezing, I know. And that slave driver horse sensei of yours has no mercy.

Dear Rachel - what did you do to deserve him? I shake my head. I just shake my head. Maybe it's good you don't see yourself the way I do. Then you wouldn't be the same you anymore. Which would change everything. Which would be bad.

  9. Kristen, The horse sensei is like the mailman. Through rain, sleet, hail, snow, come heck or high water, we WILL ride today. And you will love it! :D

Rose colored glasses perhaps? That which you look through? ;)

Jody, Yes, you do have a storm coming. Should be hitting by now as I type this. Stay inside by the fire with a cup of hot cocoa. After it all blows over, then you can venture out to your front porch and snap a few. In the meantime, stay warm, safe, and dry.

Hanna, It does have a fun beat and catchy tune. I'll give it that.

Korrie, Thank you. You are very sweet and kind. I think sometimes The SM wonders just what in the world he reeled in and caught. :D As for the photos. They aren't brilliant but it was fun.
